How to turn off 40Mhz channel for 802.11n radio?

Q: How to turn off 40Mhz channel for 802.11n radio?

A:

The best way to turn off 40MHz channel is to turn it off in ARM profile. For example:

#rf arm-profile default
    40MHz-allowed-bands none

Some customers turn off 40Mhz channel under ht-ssid-profile, but forget to turn it off under ARM profile. With such configuration, although AP radio sends traffic via 20MHz channel only, ARM still do the calculation based on 40Mhz channels, it will result in suboptimal channel & power level selection.
