MAC OSX Snow Leopard 10a380 Wifi Preview

Apple intends to release MAC OSX "Snow Leopard" in September : http://www.apple.com/macosx/refinements/

Apple claims that it will bootup faster, shutdown quicker, consume less drive space, etc, etc. What I was really concerned about was if it would connect and disconnect to wireless faster, and would my lingering issues continue. Switching between wireless networks, even enterprise networks is very fast, within 3 seconds or less. Here is a list of additional features and screenshots:

- Signal Strength of Neighboring Wireless Networks
- Phy Mode of the Network you are connected to (802.11a/b/g/n)
- Security of Your Connected Network
- MCS Index (if you are connected via 802.11n)
- Fast Switching, even between previously troublesome 802.1x networks
- Disconnect Button in the Network Utility that allows you physically disconnect from a wireless network, instead of shutting down Airport entirely
- "Configure Trust" button which allows you to trust certificates individually for each 802.1x instance you create.
- Signal Strength and Encryption show in "Join Networks" applet.

See you in September!
