What will 802.11ac mean for me, the average user?

I will start using wireless as my primary network access. I will no longer think that for a particular application I need Ethernet.

Faster speeds that 802.11ac offers should increase battery life of my mobile device as the NIC will be able to send / receive more data in less time to stay in “power save” state more often.

With such high speeds and qos promised, skype ,google voice etc. will be able to provide a viable mode of communication. These VOIP applications will help us save money by offloading not just internet but voice traffic to 802.11ac.
