Can I return a different user Vlan after L3/Captive-portal based authentication from ClearPass?
Q:

Can I return a different user Vlan after L3/Captive-portal based authentication from ClearPass to switch the user to new subnet?

A:

Returning user vlan after Layer3/captive-portal authentication will not force the client to renew the Ip address. So the client will stay with the IP address  from the previously assigned vlan/subnet before the authentication.

Therefor changing user vlan after Layer3/captive-portal authentication is not recommended/supported.
