Client auth failed - Error : Bind failed because of invalid credentials.

User / Guest authentication failed and in Clearpass Access tracker your will find Error Message failed as Bind failed because of invalid credentials.


This issue occurs when the Authentication source is external like AD or database and if the bind account password expires or changed, then Clearpass would not be able to query the Authentication Source during authentication.


The failed authentication entry on access tracker will show as below with combination of "bindfailed due to invalid creds" and " bind failed - Can't contact LDAP server".





Please verify the password and update it the appropriate Auth Source in Configuration » Authentication » Sources » as shown below and hit search Base Dn url to verify the connectivity.
