Does ClearPass server backup incude the network config?

Q:

As a network admin if you are restoring a ClearPass server backup on a new Vm/node, will that restore the IP (network port) config as well?



A:

A ClearPass server backup contains Policy manager and Guest modules (logs optional) backup but never network configuration (IP, Gateway, DNS etc) backup.

We would need to configure the network ports irrespective of restoring a server backup.
