Error while manully uploading the upgrade package on CPPM

Jul 14, 2014 04:39 AM

Question : I am trying to upload the Upgrade package ( 6.3) to CPPM and get an error " Uploaded file is invalid: does not have the meta file or unrecognized type or does not have a valid signature"

Environment Information : This error could be seen on any version of CPPM.

Cause : The exact error capture is seen below.

" Uploaded file is invalid: does not have the meta file or unrecognized type or does not have a valid signature"

This error may be seen when we try to manually upload the upgrade package to CPPM.

Things to check.

1: Check the name of the file.

It must be the same as on the support site. Usually the original names may append (1) to themselves which needs to be removed while uploading.

2: Check the MD5 sum of the file.

The easiest way to check this is to install a MD5 validator on your local machine. I used "WinMD5Free" which can be easily be downloaded from http://www.winmd5.com/.
There are many more Utilities which we can use.

For linux based machines, we can also run the below command from CLI to verify the MD5 sum value and compare it with the original by running the command

#md4sum <filename>
