How do I upgrade ECS using the command line?

All patch and major release code upgrades for ECS are available using FTP at: www.bradfordnetworks.com

Patch Upgrades

Get the patch code using FTP. For example:
ftp> get PatchSet_4.0.3_p4.sh

Login to ECS using the command line:
>sudo -i
> up
root@taclab02:/bsc/campusMgrUpdates
> chmod +x PatchSet_4.0.3_p4.sh
> ./PatchSet_4.0.3_p4.sh

Major Release Upgrades
Get the major release code using FTP. For example:
ftp> cd 4.0.3
ftp> mget *090206*

Login to ECS using the command line:
>sudo -i
> bin
root@taclab02:/bsc/campusMgr/bin
> updateCampusMgrServers 090206
