Unable to create reports on Insight.

Problem:

I am running CPPM 6.6 and have enabled Insight on the node. I can login to insight and see the details in the Dashboard.

 

However i am unable to create/add new reports.

 

Below is an an example of what i see.

 



Diagnostics:

The capture shown above shows a warning :  Insight Master is not enabled on any Insight node 



Solution

Post 6.6 onwards, we must enable insight as master on the specific node.

 

In case we have a cluster, enable insight and insight as master on the least busy node. This would help in better optimizing the performance.

 

Once insight is enabled as master, we would see the options to create reports.
