What is the default hostname use by the Endpoint_Compliance_System (ECS) persistent agent?

Product and Software: This article applies to Endpoint Compliance System (ECS) and ECS 4.0.3.

 

The persistent agent attempts to resolve arubaecs with the configured DNS server.

When the control and application server are in the same appliance, the DNS name should map to the eth0 IP address. If the ECS is set up with separate unit of control server and an application server, the DNS name should map to the eth0 of the application server.

This Aruba persistent agent is communicating to the ECS using UDP port 4567.
