What is the difference between “ Authentication Cache Timeout” and “Machine Authentication Cache Timeout”?

Jun 27, 2014 02:07 PM

There are two updates in the 6.2 version of CPPM.

What is the meaning for “Authentication Cache Timeout”? Is it the same as “Policy result cache timeout” in cluster-wide parameters? How these timers would affect authentication process?

“ Authentication Cache Timeout” is not same as “Machine Authentication Cache Timeout”.

Authentication Cache Timeout: This is the time period for which CPPM will cache those attributes which were fetched from AD and LDAP for any authentication.

Machine Authentication Cache Timeout: This is the time period for which CPPM will cache the Machine Authenticated Status (Machine Authenticated or not).
