Aps show status is up but no wireless connectivity

Hello,

Both of my remote sites aps are not showing wireless connectivity. In the controller, the network summary shows the aps. However in the controller summary they are not present. If you select one of the remote aps in the all access points tab, the result is empty, there is no ap to select. In airwave the aps are also showing a good status, with no bandwidth. You can ping the aps as well as reboot them. The controller will give a status for them in the diagnostics tab in the controller. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Aps show status is up but no wireless connectivity

type "show ap bss-table | include " on the commandline of the controller to see if any of those access points are indeed broadcasting wireless.

Re: Aps show status is up but no wireless connectivity

So that means that your AP is NOT broadcasting any wireless. What ap-group is Waverly1 part of? type "show ap-group " to see if any WLANs are configured.

Re: Aps show status is up but no wireless connectivity

The ap-group "Humphrey" does not have any Virtual APs or WLANS assigned. Go to Configuration> Wireless> AP Configuration. Edit the "Humphrey" ap-group. Expand Wireless Lan and Click on Virtual AP. In the Right Pane, please add he Virtual AP or WLAN that you want brodcasting and click on Add, then click on apply in the lower right hand corner.

Re: Aps show status is up but no wireless connectivity

Thanks Joseph,

I have not made any config changes at all and those profiles were in place last week...any idea why they were not in place this morning?

Re: Aps show status is up but no wireless connectivity

That I cannot tell you.

You can type "show audit-trail" to see any changes that have been made in your environment.
