Bulk edit single parameter

If I have x number of APs active in the field, and I need to change a single parameter to the same value on all of them. The way I "would like" to do this is like this:

provision-ap
provision-ap server-ip 10.10.10.50
provision-ap master 10.10.10.50
provision-ap reprovision ip-addr 192.168.1.91
provision-ap reprovision ip-addr 192.168.1.92
provision-ap reprovision ip-addr 192.168.1.93
provision-ap reprovision ip-addr 192.168.1.94

But, doing this obviously defaults the rest of the parameters on the AP.

 Is there a way to accomplish this without having to pull the existing parameters from the AP?

Re: Bulk edit single parameter

Mike,

Use the command:

"provision-ap copy-provisioning-params ip-addr x.x.x.x"

That will copy the parameters from the AP, then you can change a single parameter and re-provision.

Re: Bulk edit single parameter

Mike - hit send too eary...

You can't bulk provision the APs to change a single parameter. You will have to pull the parameters for one AP, change the parameter, then re-provision.

Sorry.

The other way to do this is to use the GUI. You can select multiple APs at the same time (as long as they are the same AP type) and then change the parameter and click provision.

Re: Bulk edit single parameter

Okay, I was aware of the copy provisioning params, I was hoping for a global "keep parameters" option so I didn't have to address APs individually through the command line.

I know my other option is to use ap profiles.

Thanks!
