How to discover device under the Wi-Fi of AP/Rap?

I have been ask if Aruba AP can discover all the device MAC under the Wi-Fi coverage of a AP/Rap, Client or not. If Aruba can do spectrum, i am sure there is a way to get those information.

Exemple: In the warehouse, I would like to found all the MAC address of those wireless device that are associate and not to the AP; scanner, Laptops, phones, etc.

Thank you

You can try the "show ap monitor ap-list ap-name " command:

(host) # show ap monitor ap-list ap-name d8:c7:c8:c0:19:e2

Re: How to discover device under the Wi-Fi of AP/Rap?

This show only Wi-Fi sent by other AP that is in the area. not all device mac. I try on mine and dont see the 2 Laptop MAC 1 is associated and the other one is associate to another AP.

I need to find all device Mac that look for Beacon or seek for association, not only for my AP.

Exemple: There is a house with a RAP2. Can we collect the Mac address of he 3 Wi-Fi device that are not client of the AP? There is a WII, a Laptop and a Blackberry.

you can use "show wms client list" for clients or "show wms ap list" for all APs seen.

Re: How to discover device under the Wi-Fi of AP/Rap?

You asked for a few different MAC addresses:
1. Associated to an Aruba AP in your network
2. Associated to any AP in the area
3. Not associated to anything but sending out probe requests

The controller tracks the MAC addresses associated to an Aruba AP or to any other AP within range (1 and 2). The controller does not keep track of every single device that is out there and sending probe requests but not associating to an AP (3).
