Configuring "Max Neighbour Distance" on radio increases the link quality of p2p links

Aruba Employee

Environment : This article applies to Aruba Airmesh routers running AirmeshOS.

Point-to-Point (p2p) backhaul links are the major implementation of Airmesh devices. When configuring a p2p links administrator need to make sure that the range of the signal do not overshoot the destination.

The "Max Neighbour Distance" configuration on radio would help to configure the approximate distance that the signal needs to travel before reaching the end mesh device. This also helps in attenuating or increasing the supply of power to the radio, thus avoiding the signal from overshooting.
