AMP reboot alert

I recently found that one of my Aruba 124 access points has been rebooting since it was installed (2500+ times). I have a trigger setup to alert to NMS when a device is in a down state. But for some reason these alerts never showed up in the alerts section of AirWave. Can someone explain this odd behavior? And also, is there a way to set an alert for a reboot condition as well?

From the access point:

Check alert suppression setting

I'd check the "Suppress Until Acknowledged" setting for your down device trigger. When triggers are created in AirWave, the default behavior ("Suppress Until Acknowledged" enabled) is that we'll send the alert once, and won't send it again until the alert is acknowledged.

The other option is to get alerts every time the device's up/down status is polled.

Re: AMP reboot alert

I agree with Dan, but I would also investigate why the AP has rebooted or bootstrapped 2500 times. Unless you have multiple APs doing this, I would get that AP replaced and see if the issue stops.
