Multiple syslog destinations in AMP possible?

Is it possible to enter multiple server destinations in the "syslog" field of the AMP browser GUI, and if so, using what delimiter? The Online Help is not providing much additional details.

Today, you can only configure one syslog server.

Out of curiosity, what are the functions of the multiple servers you want to send syslog messages to?

This is a great thing to vote on at http://feedback.airwave.com/.

Re: Multiple syslog destinations in AMP possible?

The multiple servers serve as active-active redundant syslogging destinations of all network devices, so we don't suffer gaps in syslogging overall, if one of them goes offline. It'd also be nice to be able to choose (say, via a regex filter) what logs get sent to the syslog server(s) at a more granular level than the current "Event Log" vs "Audit Log". Of course, many other products can't do that either, which necessitate reception/storage/filtering of large amounts of "noise" to get to the select "interesting" log messages on the syslog servers.

If this is a high priority for you, please contact support@airwave.com and we can look into getting you a patch that will send log data to both of your servers (until we add that feature into a release).
