We want to hear from you on how we can improve our community and looking forward to seeing you share your experience with other members. Take a look at the list below, find the ideas you like or submit your own.
It has happened on a few occasions where for example an IAP firmware was pulled from the support site without notifications even though we or maybe others have upgraded to use this version.
For example, IAP 188.8.131.52 and 184.108.40.206 was pulled.
I would like to see a notification, I don't need details, just a simple notification that it was pulled. If we/I want details I'll ask my SE or TAC.
Can this be possible? Through Airheads? Through some other means?
Thought came to me after seeing a @cappali document on comparing juniper vs cisco vs aruba switches.
Why not have a central place here where community members can share these types of documents. Separate obviously from Aruba.
It will lead to more discussion about networking in general and help us Airheads make better use of the tools we have in front of us
I'm not sure what happened on the web, but some art director somewhere decided that light grey text on a white background looked cool.
That may be true, but for some of us, it makes the text very hard to read. I've got to say that this site is one of the worst I've ever seen. The text of posts is just too light. Can you darken it up a bit (or a lot)?
maybe it just exsist and i miss it,
it's possible to have a mailing list that inform us when a new arubaos/meshos comes out with attached release notes?
lot's of time i know that there's a new release only when i've issue and i look for that, maybe have a ml can help to prevent issues and keep us update on new release feature.
When I go to my profile, I can show all of my posts, but I'd like to be able to filter, or click on something so that it only shows 'Post started by me' and also maybe my posts that have been accepted as solutions.
So, I find myself posting instructions at least once a week on how to put a user's device into debug mode on the controllers. I'm thinking it might be nice to have a Start Here section with information on how to do things like this. This would be a place where we could post a list of things to do before calling TAC or posting in the forum about a bug/issue. There is probably a way to have moderator approval prior to it being posted in that section, which would probably be a good idea as well.
Just a thought.
In the previous AIrheads forum, we were able to receive emails from the system when there was a new post, as this system is also able to do, but on the old system from that email we were able to respond with the text between two lines and have that response posted directly to the existing thread. It would be great if we could get that functionality back...
When someone submits an article, they need to subscribe to see new comments or approved/published status over email. Automatically subscribing each poster to the articles they have created will avoid this extra step.
I have been seeing a lot of questions related to Aruba Instant, and hence I would suggest having a single bucket where all the questions related to Instant can fall into.
Thanks for considering.
It would be a great idea to have that button in here!
As we cannot post idea for new products or to suggest things for the ones that arubanetworks already got, well could be a good idea putting that button here, like create case, and download firmware.
I think it would be awesome if in the next ArubaOS updates, blacklisted users are notified whenever they are blacklisted.
If they're blacklisted because of failed login or any other suspision, then they should know about it to take action.
If they're manually blacklisted, I think they should know it too.
The blacklist notification would be really helpful to wifi administrator.
