RAP-155 use same network wired name when configured more than 1 RAP

    Hi,

     I configured RAP-155 for remote Access, and I have the RAP around 4-5 devices

    I assigned each RAP per 1 AP-Group.

    I work fine for SSID Name , there is no issue about this

    BUT when connected via wired , it use same name for all RAP.

     

    How can I set diferent name for each wired network ?

    Hi,

    please find the screenshot as attached file.

     

    PS. all of AP-Group that use RAP-155 when connected via wired  they got same name "NSGT-PINTONG"

    Is that the name of your internal domain ?

    No, it is the SSID name for the first RAP-155 that we had configured before,

    As we seperate each RAP to 1 AP-Group , but when connecting via wired it shows same name.

    Are you using the same VLAN on wired and on that SSID ?

    Yes it is, I used same VLAN on wired and SSID but different VLAn for each AP-Group

    NSGT-PINTONG -- VLAN 57

    SDD-Rempote -- VLAN 59

    Have you tried changing the name of that SSID?

    And if it gets reflected on the wire side.


    The information listed in the wire connection status is usually obtained from the DNS server

    Yes I did change, even I changed Whitelist from AP Group Remote-SDD to Remote-L2 

    the SSID showed  NSGT-L2Remote but wired connect still show NSGT-PINTONG.

     

    I'm wondering why the wired connection used that name? and where it gets from?

     

    ** we use internal DNS from controller and no any that name from our DNS server

    Internal DNS from the controller ?
    The controller doesn't have DNS capabilities .
    What are you using for DHCP ?

    Sorry about the internal DNS, I intened to say we don't any name from DNS , when setting AP Group on Aruba controller , in Configuration we specificed the SSID name on Wireless LAN but no any name setting about Wired AP.

      Then I suspected that it will be used the same name from  SSID but for RAP-155 it was not as I expected.

     

    Do you have any idea to specific the name for Wired AP?
