Is there a way to limit the bandwith that Remote access points consume?

Hi,

I've got 65 remote access points working in 5 different colleges. These RAPs are configured to work in bridge mode and persistent. Controllers are not physically located in the colleges.

The customer told me that the remote access points are sending each near 100Mb of daily traffic. The network connection in some of this colleges are very poor and the remote access points are getting all the upload bandwidth.

I want to adjust some settings to try to reduce the needed bandwidth.

¿Is this configuration possible?

Re: Is there a way to limit the bandwith that Remote access points consume?

HI,

Why would a RAP consumes thatmuch BW. once it come up it will send only keep alive (PAPI) and NATT traffic. may be some other issue. as a work around, try to capture the RAP traffic on the switchport where RAP is uplinked.

Cheers,
