Unable to connect to existing Aruba 105 AP

Dear,

 

I have installed one ap in my office 3 months ago. And we have purchase 2 more Aruba AP and i want to install this in my office and when i m connecting the new AP the lights blinking on it is one green light and the 3 red lights. it is taking the IP from DHCP but it is not showing in the virtual controller.


And it is not adding in to my SSID network.

 

Please help me in resolving the issue.

- is that IAP in the same segment as your other IAP ?
- can you ping the new one ?

Dear,

 

Yes it is in the same segment and when i connect the new IAP it is taking the IP from DHCP and i am able to ping also.

Do you have auto join enabled ?

Do you see the instant SSID ?

Check:

- Auto Join setting -- enabled by default

-Country Code - look at the part number sticker on the back on the IAP's.   They all need have the same country code designator (-US, -JP, -IL, or no country code which = Rest of World).

 

- Does the site have internet access?  If not, and the new IAPs are running a different version of code than the VC they won't upgrade and won't join the group.

 

Try connecting a console cable to the console port of the new IAPs and watch/capture the boot process.
