Airwave is the important tool,
I think you should add some features for the report that can show username, usage, application and when that user access the application.
and then the report can we exclude local or internet traffic on report and we can see people history usage when it dissconected.
I was wondering if possible to have alerts from Aruba Central (such as AP down, planned maintenance and so on) also be available as a push notification on the mobile application.
A prime example was that I was unable to access Aruba Central the other day due to planned maintenance. There was an alert in Aruba Central informing me of this however since I couldn't access Aruba Central I could not view the alert :) It would've been perfect if I had a push notification informing me of this!
Some things that I would like to have, to imporve our method of installing high quantity APs into new or existing systems.
- A database feature on the controller, where I could for example, upload an Excel document with serial numbers/Mac addresses, BLE Macs and the controller stores that information so when I connect the new APs, it automatically assigns names and groups per the excell sheet.
- BLE barcodes on the outside of 300 series AP boxes, for faster inventory
- Some way to recover the BLE mac through CLI or through Web GUI of the controller, in case we miss one or don't have an AP documented.
I managed to totally fail and had to contact TAC when adding routing on a map in Meridian due to the limitation that new ways in your route have to start from a crossing-dot.
If you add a long route through a hallway and then try to add detours from that line you will instead create a lot of multiple routes on top of each other without having them connected to the main line.
The way to properly add a detour from a straight line is to delete the line in full, ten add it again but klick and make it into two or more lines instead of one, and then you can start your detour from the now connected dot.
The user guide did not mention how you should start your routing, and at least I fail to see why you are allowed to create multiple non connected routes on the same map. Having a limitation, or a pop-up or anything to acknowledge the creation of a new routing layer (not connected to the existing one) would help out a lot.
i think that it will be great that aruba will create a platform , where users will demande a course , and where other valantire users can give the the class, in webener forma .
at the end we are a community :-)
Here is a quick overlook of the 2 types of VPN : https://www.ivpn.net/knowledgebase/62/PPTP-vs-L2TP-vs-OpenVPN.html
We would need this type of support in order to obtain the following functionalities:
- Monitoring the device (with Airwave or other open source aplication).
- Upload syslogs to a central server.
- Provide split tunnel traffic (We are doing content filtering given the role of the user for example).
- Provide Management access only through the VPN tunnel.
- Have a VC for multiple locations ( Multiple locations in one city that have the same config would have one VC)

Wouldn't it be better to add the list of supported and recommended IOS to ClearPass with Cisco and other switches to avoid testing time with diferent IOS.
Also wouldn't be better to divide the CPPM guide into two parts i.e.beginners and advanced so that beginners after going through and practising the basic concept could get useful information from advanced guide which should be written in the way how CPPM policies function which comes from where etc. Thanks.
Okay i know there is a list here:
But it would be nice if you guys put when it was updated!
And it would be nice to be updated from time to time.
Would be this possible?
I send this list to my clients but i have no idea if its up to date or something...
Hello i was wondering if its possible putting up more competitive documents for example im really needing competitive docuemnts agains HP... HP is one of the most demanded Wireless per price here... and a good documentation of a competitive documents agains it would be really handy...
Also if you guys can put more competitive documents not just agains cisco...
How about a up to date documentations agasins motorola? thats another one im really needing
I started using VisualRF recently. I think it is a very interesting and useful tool, but I have some suggestion to improve it:
1. More wall types from wich to choose
2. Values of attenuation in dB of the wall types
3. The chance to see a solution proposed by VisualRF on how and where to place the APs in a specific floor.
Does anyone have any other good ideas?
with airmesh we can create large and dynamic networks but when we have a problem is difficult to diagnose where is the problem.
please create a debug document where we have some examples of aimeshos command and output.
(for example diagnose vplm issue or site id issue is not so easy)
Ever miss provision an AP?
Did you wonder how to erase the wrong setting on the AP - when there is no connectivity to a controller?
This guide will supply you all u need to know in order to re-use this AP.
Attention - this is an Hebrew version only.
Hope it will come helpful when needed.
A small share of a QuickSetupProcess - iAP to CAP/RAP (Hebrew only)
I miss the detph in the documenst i cannot find for example a lote of information about clearpass with field and forms.
I was told that amigopod was very flexible and you can change a many advanced things and that is the case but the information is very poor so i needed to contacte my aruba system engineer again and again. He look it up in your (bible) the internal WIKI very nice.
I think it is a pity that you have the information but it is not public i think if some infomation is shared it would benefit all and take aruba networks to the next level.
