Affect of adding these commands on live network?

I want to enable band steering and also set the max mtu size under the AP system profile to 1500. Can anyone confirm if this will affect clients on the live network (will it cause APs to rebootstrap)?

Band Steering and MTU

JL,

Enabling Band Steering will destroy and then recreate the Virtual AP, which means that the AP will not rebootstrap, but clients will certainly disconnect and reconnect for a few seconds. The clients will still retain the role that they have in the user table, so they should be able to get back on within 5 seconds in their correct roles without reauthenticating.

Changing the MTU does not cause the APs to rebootstrap.

Interesting Colin....I would have thought it was backwards.

I wouldn't think band-steering would cause the VAP to reboostrap, but I'd certainly think the MTU change would cause a rebootstrap of all VAPs on the AP.

Just changed mine

... and there was no bootstrap. Is your experience different?
