Dropping IKE message from RAP?
Dropping IKE message from RAP?
07-15-2009 09:56 AM
Hello.
I'm trying to setup a new RAP. We have a few already that work fine. When I add the IPsec info to the provisioning screen for the new RAP, it drops off the network. "Show log security" command indicates that the IKE message is being dropped from the RAP possibly due to an invalid IKE pre-shared key or RSA client cert configured on client.
I've re-entered the IKE key using what it was before. The existing RAP's continue to function, but still the new RAP will not provision. I've typed and re-typed the key to make sure I'm not entering a typo, and I've purged and repurged this new AP to make sure it's configuration is clean. To my knowledge, we aren't using RSA client certs.
Any ideas? I'm stumped.
Thanks.

Kevin,
That DEFINITELY means that the IKE preshared key is not correct. You might want to use the "encrypt disable" command here: http://airheads.arubanetworks.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=174&highlight=encrypt+disable to see what the IKE Preshared key is. If it indeed matches, you should open a case.
