Force all guest portal traffic via an internet based proxy
Force all guest portal traffic via an internet based proxy
01-28-2011 08:09 AM
I have 2 SSID's, one for corporate data and another for guests.
The guest SSID allows only internet access via the Aruba portal with users authenticated via the internal database.
I would like all guest traffic (once authenticated) to use a proxy that is hosted by a third party on the internet irrespective of what is set on the users internet browser settings, how can I do this on the latest Aruba OS (5.0.3.0) so that we can ensure that guests do not access any inappropriate websites.
Thanks.

It must be a transparent proxy, however.

That knowledge base answer is for 'How do I configure Captive Portal with a browser that uses a proxy server?', I am looking at a solution that ensures that no client browser configuration is required.
Therefore whether or not any proxy is configured on the browser I want to forward all http & https traffic to an internet based proxy (simply because we currently use one because it is easier to manage the black/white list spam etc), so that we can ensure that no inappropriate websites are accessed.
Thanks
