Incremental OS Upgrade Question

We just installed a new 2400 that came with 3.3.2.11

I'd like to upgrade the software to the current release. I'd rather not go through each level of upgrade to get to the current release, but I'm reluctant to simply jump from 3.3.2.11 directly to 3.3.3.xx.

Any recommendations for incremental upgrades ?

Re: Incremental OS Upgrade Question

What are your concerns of jumping directly to the latest 3.3.3.x? I've done it in the past with no issues. You have 2 partitions and as long you make a backup copy of your configs, it's a fairly safe process.

Doing incremental from 3.3.2 to 3.3.3 wouldn't gain you much unless there's something broken in the latest 3.3.3.x that isn't broken in the previous versions.

Re: Incremental OS Upgrade Question

Going from 3.3.2.11 to 3.3.3.x or even 3.4.1.x or 3.4.2.x presents no problems. I do it all the time without issue.

Heck, I've even done a 2.5 to 3.4.1 upgrade if I remember correctly....

Re: Incremental OS Upgrade Question

Thanks guys. I didn't think there would be an issue, but I've seen problems before (with other equipment) where it was problematic. I just wanted to be certain.
