RE: Enquiries on “Dropping EAPOL packet sent by Station”

Hi All,

Anyone have seen this “Dropping EAPOL packet sent by Station” before?
What does it mean?

We have a project running 802.1x.
Computers and new users are able to authenticate correctly using existing wireless system.
However, with Aruba, we found that Computers and existing users are able to authenticate correctly using existing wireless system. New users have problem connecting.

Then we saw “Dropping EAPOL packet sent by Station” on the logs.
What does it mean?

Thanks in advance.

“Dropping EAPOL packet sent by Station” is a message after another message that explains why it happened. It could be for authentication failure, replay counter issue, etc. You need to have debugging turned out for that client and filter by mac address to get the full picture.
