SSL Cert for 802.1x

We are replacing the default SSL cert finally for our Radius sign on, and following the instructions in the post about the default SSL cert expiring soon (http://airheads.arubanetworks.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=3264) do I understand correctly that 802.1x doesn't support 2048 encryption on the SSL certs?

The trouble I'm running into is many organizations are doing away with 1024bit certs (http://community.godaddy.com/help/5619).

Is it simply they aren't encouraged, or do they flat out not work with the Aruba 802.1x technology? Is anyone currently using a 2048bit SSL cert with .1x?

Re: SSL Cert for 802.1x

ArubaOS 6.1, when it is released will support 2048-bit certificates for EAP offload (radius). 2048-bit certificates are supported for Captive Portal today. You still have the option of deploying a 2048 bit in your radius server and turning off EAP offload for client connectivity.
