Software support policies

Just a one year lifespan for 3.3.3.x and 3.4.x?

Re: Software support policies

It's actually 2 years - look at the column on the far right at http://www.arubanetworks.com/support/end_of_life.php. The end of life announcement comes 6 months prior to "end of development", and "end of development" comes 6 months prior to "end of support". So basically we announce end of life a year after release, and a year before end of support. The idea is to give people enough advance notice to plan for migrations.

Re: Software support policies

I see that now, Jon, thanks.

So, I wonder if 3.3.3.x will be removed soon as the only "recommended release" considering it's EOL in less than two months.

Re: Software support policies

It will. We're going through the final testing of 5.0.2.0 right now, and once it is released, it will become the recommended release. It's also going to become the manufacturing release that will be loaded on new controllers coming from the factory.
