Unable to remote desktop when connected to guest wireless

I am having a strange issue with my guest wireless network and the inability to remote desktop to anything. I know RD is working to machines in question, but when I get on our guest wireless network via the portal I cannot connect to any of them. The windows machines in question are all on the public internet and I can connect to them fine directly via our many other connections.

Essentially if I take the guest wireless network out of the picture by plugged directly into the modem/firewall it works. The guest network is directly connected to that modem/firewall with no ACLs whatsoever in place.

Which leads me to believe something with the guest network and the aruba ?? Any ideas?

What role are your guest users getting? If you have them going into the "guest" role, by default only HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, NAT-T and ICMP are allowed. You'll want to configure your firewall rules to allow support for RDP.

Re: Unable to remote desktop when connected to guest wireless

Cool.

I got it sorted out by doing this:

1. Stateful Firewall > Network Services > Add svc-rdp port 3389
2. Access Control > Polices > Add rdp-acl policy and select svc-rdp and permit
3. Access Control > User Roles > Guest > Edit and add rdp-acl

After that I was able to connect.

Unable to remote desktop when connected to guest wireless

Configuration>Access Control>User Roles and then edit the Policies to allow RDP
