Re: What tool to use to test bandwidth contract

You could do a web speedtest with the client that has a bandwidth contract applied, or: "show datapath frame counters". The policied frames number shows how much traffic is dropped due to bandwidth contracts

(3600) #show datapath frame counters

Re: What tool to use to test bandwidth contract

If you want the "Empirical" way of do it you can use the opensource jperf tool, use a N client and run a capacity test, then add as many clients top the SSIDs as QoS defined and run again the tests, the clients should slow down to honor QoS. If you want to go the "PRO" way you can use IXIA Chariot.

Take not that you must use N capable devices, in our test envoirment QoS and airtime fairness worked like a charm and we were able to see it's impact on the networks speeds.
