disabling rogue APs/Clients

Today I brought in a wireless router from home to see how the disable feature worked in Aruba. I connected my laptop wirelessly to it. The aruba controller saw it, but when I pressed "Disable" nothing happened to my connection on the laptop. I was still able to associate with the router as well. I thought when you pressed "Disable" on the rogue AP or the interfering client, Aruba sent DoS packets to disassociate the client from the router.
Also how was it classified as a rogue since I never plugged the router into the wired side of the network. Shouldn't it be an interfering AP?
