reset aruba a200 to factory default settings

Good evening all.

Does anyone know of a way to reset the A200 to it factory default settings.

Thanks

Issue the CLI command "write erase all" and reload the controller. This will also clear licenses, so you'll need to copy them off and re-apply them after you bring the controller up again later.

Thanks,

BJWhite,

I have the original license activation keys from our reseller. After reseting the controller, is it as simple as re-entering licensing information?

Thanks

Yeah, if those keys they provided were the activated keys. Or, you can issue this command "show license verbose" and copy the licenses from that.

Then "write erase all" and reload the controller.

When it comes up, it will take you through the console startup script, or you can use the Installation Wizard. If using the wizard, you can add the licenses then.

If you use the startup script via console, then you'll re-add the licenses once the unit comes back up after the reload by the command:
license add

Newly enabled features will then require a reboot and then you can do the rest of your config.
