using captive portal example, xml error

I'm using the captive portal example to model a php file that has some paramters hardcoded to test the controler we are deploying.

When I send XML to the controller we see the following below, we are of course substituting a know good username and password when we press 'Accept; button. Any thoughts on this error?? We are stuck and need to move it into prod.:

Re: using captive portal example, xml error

That normally means that you do not have the device sending the XML as an XML-API-Client.

No, the controller has configuration for XML-API that determines which devices it will accepts requests from. Please see the XML-API documentation in the user guide.
