Hello all!
As we grow our ap/rap count I was looking at the license page on the controller and see that my current limits for aps is 24 and raps is 24 - when I scroll down to the usage, I see total ap licenses at 24, remote-nod ap licenses used at 0 and ap licenses used at 17 - So just wondering how to get the RAPs to actually use a remote node license or if it never really does. (Just getting close to maxing out the 24 licenses with the 5 new RAP 5s I need to deply, and the 3 new RAP 2s.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
(if it helps - they remote ap box is checked on them in the ap configuration/provioning page, and the flags on all of them are Rc2) So am I just missing something or is that the way it really is?

Lirria,
As it is seen from the output, we do see that there are 5 Remote AP licenses used and 11 Campus AP licenses used.
Licenses used for Remote AP's : 5
Licenses used for Campus AP's : 11
You should be able to add 8 APs to the network without requiring additional licenses.
Unused AP Licenses : 8
Also, could you please post the ArubaOS version that you are running on the 3400 controller.
Thanks,

We are running ArubaOS 6.1.2.6
So here's my confusion - when looking at the web interface - It shows 24 licenses for ap and 24 for rap - I'm guessing that isn't what it means
| Access Points | 24 |
| Remote Access Points | 24 |
| Total AP Licenses | 24 |
| Remote-Node AP Licenses Used | 0 |
| AP Licenses Used | 17 |
| Tunneled Node Licenses Used | 0 |
| Unused AP Licenses | 7 |
| Licenses used for Campus AP's | 11 |
| Available Campus AP's | 0 |
| Licenses used for Remote AP's | 6 |
| Available Remote AP's | 0 |
| Total Ortronics AP Licenses | 0 |
| Ortronics AP Licenses Used | 0 |
| Total Indoor Mesh AP's Supported | 256 |
| Indoor Mesh AP's Active | 0 |
| Total Outdoor Mesh AP's supported | 256 |
| Outdoor Mesh AP's Active | 0 |
| Total PEF Licenses | 24 |
| Remote-Node PEF Licenses Used | 0 |
| PEF Licenses Used | 17 |
| Total 802.11n-120abg Licenses | 0 |
| 802.11n-120abg Licenses Used | 0 |
| Total 802.11n-121abg Licenses | 0 |
| 802.11n-121abg Licenses Used | 0 |
| Total 802.11n-124abg Licenses | 0 |
| 802.11n-124abg Licenses Used | 0 |
| Total 802.11n-125abg Licenses | 0 |
| 802.11n-125abg Licenses Used | 0 |
So I'm guessing we only get to add 24 aps of either Remote or campus before needing to purchase more licenses, right?

Lirria,
That is correct. You can have up to 24 APs connected, whether they be RAPs, APs or any mix is up to you.

Thank you - the way the interface presents that is well rather confusing - thank you for the clarification.
