We are testing some IAP-205's with both local and cloud mangement.

After adding the IAP's to Aruba Central, we discovered we cannot manage them locally anymore via instant.arubanetworks.com:4343.

Mangement is only via one or the other and not both?

    Regards,

Yes, that's correct. Only basic functions are available when the device is being managed.

    Hi guys,

Another question, which credencials are used to login locally to the IAP? Once I added the APs in the Central portal I noticed that I no longer could access with default credentials "admin" "admin".

    Regards,

I found in the system screen under wireless management app there is an administrator user and password. You can use it to changue the local admin password but it only works temporaly, soon the credentials are changed again by aruba central.

    Hi Adolfo,

The IAP's will be part of a group on Central.

When you create a group, it will ask you for setting up a group password. Once the IAP is moved to this group, the group password is used as login credentials for the IAP.

In case you need to change them, use the following steps:

    1. Navigate to the group.

    2. Select wireless management.

    3. Click on System

    4. Administration.

I have attached the screenshot for reference.

In my case IAP is on a group named TAC.

Aruba Central allows overriding any part of the configuration on a per-device (in this case, per-VC) basis. Simply go to the filter on the top and select your device.
