COTD: (ArubaOS 3.4.1) Vlan Range

Ever had to create or remove a large number of VLANs at a time? Wasn't it a hassle to run the "vlan" command manually for each vlan? The "Vlan Range" command, new in ArubaOS 3.4.1 will allow you to create or remove a range of VLANs from the Aruba controller:

(M3.arubanetworks.com) #show vlan

VLAN CONFIGURATION
------------------
VLAN Description Ports
---- ----------- -----
1 Default FE1/23 GE1/24-25 Pc0-7
10 VLAN0010 Pc2
1000 VLAN1000 FE1/0-22 Pc2

(M3.arubanetworks.com) (config) #vlan range 100-110
(M3.arubanetworks.com) (config) #show vlan

VLAN CONFIGURATION
------------------
VLAN Description Ports
---- ----------- -----
1 Default FE1/23 GE1/24-25 Pc0-7
10 VLAN0010 Pc2
100 VLAN0100 Pc2
101 VLAN0101 Pc2
102 VLAN0102 Pc2
103 VLAN0103 Pc2
104 VLAN0104 Pc2
105 VLAN0105 Pc2
106 VLAN0106 Pc2
107 VLAN0107 Pc2
108 VLAN0108 Pc2
109 VLAN0109 Pc2
110 VLAN0110 Pc2
1000 VLAN1000 FE1/0-22 Pc2

To remove the Vlans, just put a "no" in front of the "vlan range" command:

(M3.arubanetworks.com) (config) #no vlan range 100-110
(M3.arubanetworks.com) (config) #show vlan

VLAN CONFIGURATION
------------------
VLAN Description Ports
---- ----------- -----
1 Default FE1/23 GE1/24-25 Pc0-7
10 VLAN0010 Pc2
1000 VLAN1000 FE1/0-22 Pc2
