COTD: Banners and messages

Ever want to put a Message of The Day (MOTD) or some other useful information when someone first logs on to your controller? Here's how to do it with the "banner" command on the CLI of the Aruba controller:
"banner motd "
(surface2air) (config) #banner motd <
Enter TEXT message. End with the character '<'.
Thanks for loggin in.
Now go away.
<
(surface2air) (config) #
(surface2air) (config) #show banner
Thanks for loggin in.
Now go away.

Since the banner command supports multiple lines, the trick here is to give a delimiter character. This character represents the end of the MOTD. You can use any character as the delimiter, my example used "<".
Here's another example:
(surface2air) (config) #banner motd $
Enter TEXT message. End with the character '$'.
This is another banner that uses the dollar sign as a delimiter.
So don't use it until you are done with your message.
$
(surface2air) (config) #
