Question:  APs are rebooting regularly. Cisco switch is providing POE to these APs. Is there any known issue with this setup?

Product and Code:
All controller and All Code. Cisco 3550PWR switches and 12.1.(19) code

APs connected to Cisco POE switches reboots regularly, the reason is that when the AP comes up for the first time after it
downloads the code from the controller it reboots. Now the Cisco switch thinks that the AP is not there anymore on the port and shuts the power to that port.

The workaround for this issue is to increase the time the Cisco waits before shutting down a port. The following command can be used to do the same.

power inline delay shutdown 15 initial 25

This only applies to the Cisco3550PWR. All cisco switches released after this model do not require any special config. The Cisco IOS on the 3550 has to be at least 12.1.(19) or higher for that command to work.
