Aruba Controller acting as NTP server

Mar 24, 2017 09:45 AM

Q:

Does Aruba Controller act as NTP server?

A:

Yes, Starting from 6.5.0.0 and above, Aruba controller can act as a NTP Server. This feature is introduced only from Aruba OS 6.5.0.0 and above.

NTP standalone feature enables an Aruba controller to act as an NTP server so that the devices that do not have access to Internet can synchronize their clocks. Enabling this feature eliminates the need to provision and maintain another virtual machine on the network.

In the CLI, To enable the NTP standalone feature, execute the following commands:

(host) (config) #ntp standalone

(host) (config) #ntp standalone vlan-range
