Question: Can a user create a duplicate DHCP scope on the Aruba switch?
Product and Software: This article applies to ArubaOS 2.5.4.x and higher.
Yes, both in the WebUI and the CLI, the Aruba will allow a customer to configure duplicate scopes. This could potentially cause client connectivity issues.
We can usually identify the rogue DHCP server by asking the OS for the DHCP source. When the source is valid like an Aruba switch, it may not be a likely first choice to be the problem.
Using the 'show ip dhcp database' command shows the scopes from the CLI. You can also see the issue from the WebUI.
