Controller Based WLANs

Can we disable a particular wireless network on a timely manner?

Environment : This article applies to all controller models and AOS versions 5.0 and higher.

On occasions there would be a need to automatically turn off public Wi-Fi connections during overnight hours and weekends, while keeping the private Wi-Fi connection up 7X24.

As of AOS 6.3 there is no configuration options available on the controller to turn off a particular SSID while keeping others SSID’s up on a timely manner rather we shall restrict users from connecting to a particular SSID based on the time ranges configured on the controller.

But if there is a need to disable the SSID completely on a timely manner then we can write a script with the below command’s and schedule it to run as needed

wlan ssid-profile "default"
  no ssid-enable
