Question: Description about "show port" commands?

Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba Product and Software.

This CLI command "show port link-event" displays how many times an Aruba Controller Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet port has gone down and up (since the switch was last booted up) . If you see a certain port with an abnormally high value  (+10) then you might want to troubleshoot why it is flapping up/down by viewing the  “show log all | include fpapps” CLI command output.

This CLI command "show port stats" displays statistics about the amount of packet and byte traffic on each Aruba Controller Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet port.

Monitor the Input/Output Errors in Bytes to make sure it doesn’t exceed 10 % of the total Bytes In/Out values. If it does exceed 10% in errors then investigate the physical port connection and duplex/speed settings.
