Question: Does Aruba Controller shows any error message when an access point refuses to come up due to upsupported code version?
Environment: This article applies to Aruba Access Points managed by Aruba Controllers.
We often see that whenever a new Access Point is introduced, the minimum supported ArubaOS version information also follows. This actually means that any controller running this minimum supported version or later, can bring up the AP in its database for management/monitoring.
When an new AP is connected to network, it acquires an IP address for itself and also the IP of Master controller. But, even after that AP doesn't shown up in the ap database on controller and it keeps rebooting repeatedly. In such cases, if you glance in the errorlogs controller with the below command:
"show log errorlog | include <mac address or IP address of the ap>
following message would be shown:
