How can I find any past radar events from controller logs?



A:

Aruba APs automatically selects a frequency that does not interfere with certain radar systems while operating in the 5 GHz band. In the initial phase, design and implementations teams would work on channel plans and see that operating channels do not interfere with radar frequencies.  But, it is a good practice to observe the pattern to see if anything changed that effecting the user connectivity.

When APs detect the radar signals , controller would log a messages in the wireless log.  These logs messages, show the time of detection, channel and when the particular channel was marked as clear. Messages also show to which channel did the access point moved to.

 

A sample of one such log from lab controller is show below:
