How do I change the https admin-port on an Aruba controller? How to change the https admin-port to 8443 from 4343?

Question: How do I change the https admin-port on an Aruba controller? How to change the https admin-port to 8443 from 4343?

Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba controllers and ArubaOS 2.5.5.x and later.

In ArubaOS 2.5.5.0 and 3.1.x later, this feature is no longer supported, but we have a workaround for the problem.

1) Create an IP access-group applied to the physical trusted port on the controller:

conf term

ip access-list session mgmt-https-acl

any alias mswitch tcp 8443 dst-nat 4343

any any any permit

!

Interface fastethernet 1/0

ip access-group session mgm-https-acl

!

write mem

2) Use https://controller_ip:4343/ or https://controller_ip:8443 to access the controller.

If you have another firewall blocking the port 4343 to the controller, you cannot rely on the http://controller_ip to redirect you to https://controller_ip:8443. Moreover, this ACL only applies to access from the wired side, not the wireless side.
