Question: How do I check allowed indoor and outdoor channels for an AP-Type for a country code?

Environment: This article applies to Aruba Mobility Controllers running version of ArubaOS.

 

The country code setting on the controller identifies the regulatory domain in which the access point operates. Each of these domains has different parameters for antenna gain, transmit power, channel selection. Countries apply their own regulations to both the allowable channels, allowed users and maximum power levels within the frequency ranges.

 

On Aruba Controller, we can see the allowed channels for an AP type with respect to regulatory domain. Following images show certain examples:

On Aruba Controller, we can also have a view of all the allowed indoor and outdoor channels for a Country-Code channels irrespective of AP-Type:
