How do I completely allow or disallow airgroup on selected vlan?

Aruba Employee
Question How do I completely allow or disallow airgroup on vlan?
Environment This article applies to Aruba Mobility Controllers running ArubaOS version 6.3.0.0 and higher.

Starting from ArubaOS 6.3, AirGroup is enabled by default and allowed on vlans configured on controller. Based on the network requirement, administrator would like to allow or disallow a airgroup service on a particular vlan.

For eg:  Airgroup can be blocked in a guest vlan, so that they cannot discover airgroup servers running in the internal employee vlans.

For example, inorder to disable airgroup on vlan 101, take the below command in config mode:

(Aruba) #configure terminal
Enter Configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z

(Aruba) (config) #airgroup vlan 101 disallow
(Aruba) (config) #exit

In order to verify if airgroup is disabled on a vlan, execute the below show command:

(Aruba) #show airgroup vlan

Following images from a controller CLI shows how to configure and verify:
