How do I enable SAPD debug on an AP?

Jul 04, 2014 04:08 PM

Question: How do I enable SAPD debug on an AP?

Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba APs and ArubaOS versions.

To troubleshoot AP problems, sometimes you must enable SAPD debug on the AP.
Get the console of the AP, reboot the AP, and press any key to stop the boot process of AP. The apboot> prompt is displayed. Issue these commands:

apboot> setenv sapd_debug 1

apboot> save

apboot> boot
The sapd degug logs are printed to /tmp/sapd_debug_log on the AP.

When SAPD restarts, it logs into the file /tmp/sapd_debug_log.
