How do I increase the login session time out value for management authentication?

Jul 01, 2014 06:58 PM

Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba controllers and ArubaOS versions.

If the user needs to stay logged in forever (or for a specific amount of time in minutes) to the management access to the controller, you can set the parameter "loginsession timeout" as needed.

Also, when the timer is set to "0", this feature is disabled.

The default value is 15 minutes, and the value can be set between 5 minutes and 1 hour.

To increase the login session time out value, issue this command:

(Aruba) (config) #loginsession timeout ?

<val> >>> Timeout value, value of '0' disables it. Default 15 minutes. Range is <5-60>

(Aruba) (config) #loginsession timeout <value>

0 to disable the option
5 five minutes minimum
60 maximum (60 minutes)
